Why Choose NRG Bitter Tails
Tail chewing and hair biting can quickly damage a horse’s appearance and comfort. NRG Bitter Tails provides a safe and effective deterrent. The bitter spray dries quickly, repels water, and helps maintain soft, groomable tails. Because it’s non-toxic and capsicum-free, it’s suitable for use around foals and sensitive horses.
Unlike traditional oil-based deterrents, this bitter spray for horses leaves no residue and keeps the tail manageable and shiny. It’s ideal for preventing chewing on tails, rugs, bandages, and stable fixtures.
How to Use NRG Bitter Tails
Shake bottle before use.
Spray evenly over the tail and lower areas prone to chewing.
For best results, allow the spray to dry fully before grooming or rugging.
Reapply every few days or after washing if needed.
Long-Lasting Tail and Rug Protection
This bitter spray for horses is formulated to resist rain and grooming, offering long-lasting protection that helps maintain yard equipment and tail condition simultaneously.

I am pleased to report that your product is sensational!
I have only applied it once on the two horses, whose tails were being chewed. I decided to wait and see what happened before reapplying.
With all the rain we have received I thought it would have worn off by now, however the foal isn’t showing any inclination to chew the tails.
Hopefully, it has nipped that annoying habit. Thank you so very much.
