NRG Team partner Harness Racing Victoria Hero Program
The NRG Team are delighted to be partnering Harness Racing Victoria’s HERO Program in 2022.
Beginning in May, each re-homed Standardbred through the HERO program will be gifted with an NRG welcome pack of our ‘Australian Made Feeding and Grooming Products’.
Why HERO?
When Boyce first moved from Ireland to Australia, one of the first horses he purchased was for his wife Glen. This was a gentle standardbred named Jason. Jason was easy to handle and no fuss on the ground or in the saddle; the perfect horse-riding companion for Glen, who was still learning the ropes of horse-riding.
Jason’s all-round capabilities meant he was able to jump in the hunting field or simply head out for an easy trail ride.
Now in its seventh year, the HRV HERO program creates opportunities for more than just the retired racehorse. It offers specialist retrainers the chance to showcase their profession, establishing the horses’ capabilities, ensuring they are placed into the appropriate home. The program also offers that rider looking for their next best friend. A horse that is honest, capable, and easy to handle.
The NRG team look forward to hearing from all the new owners and hope that our products will assist in making the transition easier and more enjoyable for both the transitioning horse and their loving human.
HRV HERO are teaming up with SPPHAV at Equitana in November 2022. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking at offering a loving home to a standardbred after their racing career.
